Seminar – Amy RAMSEY
Gene therapy for GRIN1 neurodevelopmental disorder
The Ramsey lab studies mice with mutations in the Grin1 gene, which encodes the obligatory subunit of NMDA receptors. People with disease-causing variants in the GRIN1 gene have debilitating symptoms including epilepsy, autism, intellectual disability, hypotonia, and cortical visual impairment.
The seminar will discuss these novel mouse models and gene therapy developed to treat GRIN disorder.
