APPARITION DE NOUVEAUX DIABÈTES SUITE AU COVID-19
Parmi les conséquences de l'infection à Sars-Cov-2, l'apparition d'un diabète a été rapportée à travers le mode. S'agit-il de la révélation d'un diabète quiescent due à l'impact du virus sur les cellules bêta du pancréas qui sécrètent l'insuline et/ou sur la perte de la sensibilité à l'insuline des tissus infectés ? Ou encore l'induction d'une réaction auto-immunitaire contre les cellules bêta pancréatiques ?
C'est pour comprendre les mécanismes de ce diabète lié au COVID-19 qu'un consortium international de médecins-chercheurs a décidé la constitution d'un registre de ces cas, annoncée par une lettre dans le New England Journal of Medicine. L'IGF est impliqué dans ce consortium avec le Professeur Eric Renard.

NEW-ONSET DIABETES IN COVID-19
Among the consequences of Sars-Cov-2 infection, the emergence of diabetes has been reported worldwide. Is it the revelation of a predisposition to diabetes related to the virus impact on pancreatic beta cells that secrete insulin and /or on the sensibility to insulin of infected tissues ? or, alternatively, the induction of an auto-immune reaction against the pancreatic beta cells ?
COVID-19-related diabetes, an international consortium of medical researchers has decided to create a registry of these cases, which has been announced by a letter in the New England Journal of Medicine. The IGF is involved with the Professor Eric Renard.
